How do I find items I like on Nuuly Thrift?
There are three ways to find items on Nuuly Thrift: search, navigation and Discover.
-Search: If you know exactly what you want—a size 30 pair of straight-leg jeans—use the search bar at the top of the homepage. We'll surface products that best match your search criteria.
-Navigation: Have a general idea about what you're after? Use the menu in the upper left corner of the homepage to browse by category within Clothing, Shoes + Accessories.
-Discover: Want to just browse products curated to your preferences? Try the Discover tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Whichever method you choose, you can use the Filter tool to finetune your finds. You can narrow what's displayed by size, price, color, condition and brand. We default to only show you active listings, but if you want to see both active and sold listings, toggle on Show Sold Listings.
Can I save items I like?
Yes! Tap the heart icon in the upper right corner of the item you're crushing on to save it for later. You can find your saved items in your Shop Profile under the Likes tab. Your Likes are public at default, but you can make them private within Edit Profile by toggling off Make My Likes Public.
When you're ready to move from crush to commitment, just tap on the item to view the product details and purchase.
What does it mean if something is New With Tags (NWT) or Well-Worn?
We require a description of the condition of every item listed on Nuuly Thrift. When sellers list an item, they choose whichever of these four categories best fits their product:
-New With Tags (NWT): Never been worn with tags attached or OG packaging.
-Like New: Pre-owned in excellent condition or new without tags.
-Used: Pre-owned in good condition with light wear.
-Well-Worn: Pre-owned in fair condition with obvious wear.
What are your accepted payment methods?
We accept all major credit cards and Nuuly Cash. We are unable to accept PayPal, Apple Pay or gift cards, including those from Anthropologie, Free People, Urban Outfitters, BHLDN or Terrain. Purchases cannot be split between more than one credit card.
All payments made on Nuuly Thrift purchases are processed directly with Nuuly and our secure third-party financial provider, not individual sellers. That means your financial transactions, whether payments or payouts, are completely protected from checkout to delivery.
How do I update my payment methods?
You can add, update or delete your payment methods in Checkout when you make your next Nuuly Thrift purchase.
How do I buy something on Nuuly Thrift with Nuuly Cash?
If you have an available Nuuly Cash balance, it will automatically appear as a payment method in Checkout when making your next purchase.
To use your available balance, toggle Nuuly Cash on under the Pay With section in Checkout. If you want to apply only a portion of your Nuuly Cash balance to your purchase, tap Change to enter a custom amount.
If the order total is less than the applied Nuuly Cash balance, perfect—you'll have some left over for future Nuuly Thrift purchases or at other URBN brands. If the order total is greater than the applied Nuuly Cash balance, we'll ask for a credit card to cover the rest.
See our Nuuly Cash FAQs for more info.
How does shipping work on Nuuly Thrift?
Buyers pay a flat fee of $6.99 for USPS Priority Mail on single or multi-item purchases from the same seller. Once you've placed an order, you can expect most sellers to prep and mail it within 1-3 days. From there, USPS Priority Mail generally takes about 5 business days to deliver.
Can sellers ship internationally, to APO/FPO or PO Boxes?
Sellers cannot ship internationally at this time, only to customers within the United States. Sellers can ship to APO/FPO addresses, PO boxes and Puerto Rico.
Can I get free shipping?
As of right now, Nuuly Thrift sellers are not able to offer free shipping. Shipping from any seller is always a flat fee of $6.99 for USPS Priority Mail.
What if I changed my mind about my purchase?
Buyers cannot cancel orders once placed, but if your order is still being prepped by the seller, you can try messaging them to request a cancellation. Nuuly Thrift is a final sale platform and a seller may not be able to cancel your order once placed.
If your order is already in transit, you cannot cancel it—but you can always relist it once it arrives.
My order was cancelled! What happened?
If you didn't reach out to the seller and request the cancellation yourself, then one of two things happened:
-The seller cancelled the order because of inventory issues. The item(s) you ordered may have sold elsewhere, were lost or donated. Once cancelled, you will not be charged for the items in your order and the seller will not be paid out.
-The seller didn't ship your order in time, and we cancelled it on your behalf because we don't want you to pay for something you might never receive.
I haven't received my order yet. What do I do now?
Head to the Order Details page and check the status.
If the status says Order Placed or Order Being Prepped—Did you place the order within the last 5 days? The seller may still be preparing your order to ship—most sellers ship within 1-3 days, but be mindful that every seller is different. Message the seller to check the status of your order by tapping the paper airplane icon next to the seller's profile pic on the Order Details page.
If the status says Order in Transit—This may be a USPS issue. If your order has been in transit for over 10 days and the tracking info hasn’t changed in the past 48 hours, reach out to Customer Support by tapping Contact Support at the bottom of the Order Details page.
What's relisting?
Relisting is a way to extend the life of your Nuuly Thrift purchases by selling them back on Nuuly Thrift.
Whether you're ready to switch things up or aren't totally in love with your purchase, you can sell it back on Nuuly Thrift. And because we're a final sale platform and don't offer returns or refunds, relisting lets you make back that $$ and buy something else.
Why would I want to relist?
A few very good reasons:
-Try out trends: You loved those dad jeans you scored on Nuuly Thrift… last year. Relist them for someone else to love.
-Free up some $$: That dress for your cousin's wedding you only wore once and will never wear again? Recoup your cash by relisting.
-Turn "Final Sale" into "Resold": Nuuly Thrift is a final sale platform and doesn't offer returns or refunds, but relisting makes it easy to put your styles in front of another buyer.
How do I relist an item?
It's easy—simply go to Orders and under Purchases find the item you'd like to resell, tap Relist and begin filling out the listing. The previous listing's details populate automatically, so all you have to do is snap some pics of the item and tap Publish.
Congrats! You just became a seller. Time to start earning that $$.
