What is Nuuly?

Nuuly is a subscription clothing rental service. For $88 a month, you can rent any six items you choose from 150+ brands, including selections from our own Anthropologie, Free People and Urban Outfitters family. We've curated 1000s of styles for you to layer into your life from party dresses and work looks to premium denim and one-of-a-kind vintage finds.

How much is a Nuuly subscription? What's included?

A Nuuly subscription costs $88 per month, plus tax where applicable, and includes your choice of any six items to rent; free, fast shipping and returns; the opportunity to buy what you love at a discount—plus, we do all the laundry and dry cleaning. There are no late fees, no damage fees and you can pause or cancel your subscription at any time.

If you need more flexibility, we also offer the option to add up to two bonus items—additional rentals—to any Nuuly for $18 each.

We currently offer one plan, but we’d love to hear what other subscription offerings you’d like to see.

What if I fall in love with an item? Can I buy it?

You can! If you want to keep any items that you currently have at home, just log in to your Nuuly Account to purchase them so we know they're not making the return trip. Falling in love is the best and we wish you all the happiness in the world.

How + where do you ship items?

All Nuuly orders ship via UPS on business days (Monday through Friday). Once your order is placed, you can expect up to two business days for processing, and up to three business days for delivery. Orders are shipped, except for certain oversized items, in a recycled, reusable Nuuly bag. We are not currently able to ship outside of the United States or to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

What special precautions are you taking against COVID-19/Coronavirus?

We take the wellbeing of our employees and the process of caring for the clothing we rent to you extremely seriously. We want you to be aware of the procedures we are adhering to in order to protect our employees and to ensure our products are always clean and safe for the next consumer to use.

Since Day 1, we have had strict processes in place for cleaning, sanitizing and handling the clothing you rent from us. We have instituted social distancing policies, shifted to a staggered break schedule, implemented workplace sanitization procedures, fully stocked our distribution center with hand sanitizing stations and required all employees to wear masks. During both the receiving and packing processes, our employees are protected with gloves.

To eliminate dirt and bacteria from garments, we use both wet and dry cleaning methods, in addition to a 250-degree steam tunnel. All Nuuly bags are also cleaned and sanitized between uses.

Your safety and the safety of our team is always our top priority. We are continuing to monitor briefings from the CDC and the WHO and will update our practices as recommended. For updates on how URBN is responding to COVID-19, please visit urbn.com/covid19.

Pausing + Cancelling

How do I pause my subscription?

Pausing is easy: it's free and we'll save your profile, the favorites in your closet, and you'll keep any referral rewards you've earned. You can pause your subscription for 1, 2 or 3 months and you can extend it on a month-to-month basis.

To pause your subscription when you don't have a Nuuly at home: Select Pause Subscription within the Subscription section of My Account, choose a pause length of 1, 2 or 3 months and that's it, you're done.

To pause your subscription when you still have a Nuuly at home: Send back any unpurchased items at least 2-3 business days before your billing date. Then select Pause Subscription within the Subscription section of My Account and choose a pause length of 1, 2 or 3 months. Your pause won't take effect until UPS scans your return—if that doesn't happen before your next billing date, you'll be charged your $88 subscription fee as normal and your subscription will continue.

Once your pause is over, your subscription will resume on your billing date. If you unpause early, your billing date will move to the day you unpause and your payment method on file will immediately be charged. (but don't worry, we'll let you know all of that when it happens).

How do I refer friends to Nuuly?

Visit the Refer Friends page to email friends a $10 Welcome Invite using your personal Nuuly share link. You can invite as many friends as you like and they'll each get $10 off a month's subscription when they subscribe using your share link. For each friend who subscribes, you'll also get a Reward: $10 off a month's subscription, for a total of up to 12 rewards per year. Read our Terms & Conditions for full details.
